Today, 7th of September Patxi has realized a dream with his 28 years, he has won the Arco Rockmaster 2008. Yesterday he did first in the on sight route and he makes it clear that he came prepared to fight. Today was turn for the after work route and Patxi has reached the top wining the championship.
Once the after work finish the first four of the classification fight a duel and this time the first position went to Ramon. Patxi climbed to the second step of the duel podium.
This has been a great weekend for the Basque climber full of nominations, great competitions, nice routes, duels and victory. But the most important is the satisfaction of reaping the rewards of the efforts and a well done work. Now Patxi will continue training looking the next World Cup that would be in Bern the next weekend 12 and 13 of September.
Yesterday, 5th of the month, the prizes known as the climbing oscars were held in Arco. Once more Patxi has been nominated to both disciplines rock and competition. The competition to win one of these prices was really hard, and we should take into account that Patxi last year won the rock award. There is no doubt that Patxi's results in rock and in competitions are really good and he gained recognition, but finally the awards went to Maja's and Adams's hands. Congratulations for both of them!
On the other hand, today the Rockmaster show will start. The competitors yesterday tried the after work route and this afternoon it will be the on sight route turn. This will be a beautiful day with bulder, lead and speed competitors trying their best. And tomorrow the climbers will try the after work route and the first four will compete in a spectacular and funny duel.
This weekend is going to celebrate in the Italian village of Arco a new edition of one of the most important climbing festival. During the weekend will go on the master in different disciplines and the Arco Rock Legends.
